The type of personal data we collect:
We collect your name, contact details e.g. email, postal address, phone number, payment details and IP addresses.  For our employees, we will also hold employment relevant data such as CVs, application forms, references and tax/pension codes.  This information enables us to operate effectively as a business in providing lintels to the building trade and paying employees and suppliers as well as meeting our own HMRC obligations.

Why we collect your information:
We collect personal data about you in order to communicate with you about your project with us and to invoice you for the products we provide.  These are Naylor, Catnic and Birtley lintels, Ancon wall ties, ARC insulation products and IKO and Visqueen waterproofing products.  Some of the information we collect is to fulfil our own legal obligations e.g. HMRC taxation requirements in line with paying employees and submitting business tax returns.

From time to time we will, with your explicit agreement, for marketing purposes send you information about our services that we believe may be of interest to you via email.

How we collect your information:
We do this through the traditional post, email, telephone and our secure online form through our website. Additionally our website uses cookies to collect such information about you.

We share your information:
Depending on what service we are providing and your specific relationship with us we share your information with third party providers of various services we need to run our business effectively.  Essentially these companies enable us to invoice, pay employees and suppliers, take payments, operate a secure website, provide a pension scheme and as part of our own legal obligation as a business we share your personal data with HMRC.  Currently we are sharing data with Moneysoft Ltd, Nest Pensions Ltd, Ads Oxford Ltd, Priority IT Support Ltd, Automated Business Systems Ltd, WorldPay UK Ltd, Sage Group PLC and PayPal Inc.

Your data is held securely:
We ensure administrative, technical and organisational measures are in place to safeguard your data from unauthorised access, use, modification and disclosure of personal information in our custody and control. All information you provide to us is stored on our local and cloud based secure servers with encryption and regular system backup or it is in our robust physical storage facilities.  All our third party providers are also subject to the same high standards.

How long do you keep my data?
This depends on the type of data we hold.  We will keep data used for marketing purposes for which you have given explicit consent e.g. email address until you withdrawn consent or we do a periodic refresh of our databases every 2 years.  Other data e.g. sales and purchase invoices will be kept for 6 six plus the current tax year, as this is a requirement of the UK tax laws.  Data on former clients will be kept for one year after the client leaves, or for the duration of the warranty period of the product sold to address any potential dispute that may arise.  After these time periods the data will be destroyed securely.

How can I see a copy of, amend, withdraw my consent or delete the data you hold on me?
